Bio

t l k is an independent producer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and collaborator based in Bristol (UK). Stretching the thin fabric of selfhood, t l k creates immersively ethereal landscapes to better understand the worlds in which we swim. Fluid in genre and form, with a deep commitment to introspection, the t l k sound is permeating the Bristol scene, with debut EP 'Strength In Tenderness' solidifying her as 'one of the city's most exciting experimental artists' (BBC Introducing 2022).

Drawing influence from the vocal ornamentals of Silvia Perez-Cruz and James Blake, to the textural intricacies of Rival Consoles and Floating Points, t l k’s sonic identity exists far beyond her years. Her love of rich choral polyphony, ambient soundscaping, downtempo electronica, skewed rhythms and experimental sound design coalesce to form something gently assertive, enlivening, and entirely otherworldly.

Her commitments to radical tenderness and vocal vulnerability have allowed t l k to be recognised as one of “the most compelling vocalists in Bristol right now”, noted for her “rich sound and delicate strength” in the live space (B24/7). Following the release of her debut EP, and with live shows at Sage Gateshead, Snape Maltings, Bristol Trinity and London's Leighton House under her belt, t l k prepares for the release of new material, including her sophomore EP and a debut tour.

“Her music has patient economy, eschewing unnecessary complication in favour of skeletal minimalism at times… the delicate strength and clarity of t l k’s vocals claim an unforced reserve and assertion”
